Camille Simone Lema

Camille is a queer, indigenous folk artist and art teacher creating work that celebrates indigenous cultures and the beauty found in nature. The vibrant colors set the mood for each unique piece, creating stories or passing on messages to its viewers. These bodies of work connect us to our ancestors and honor the earth and her creatures. They each hold a special power of their own. Camille intentionally speaks about the importance of community through their art, celebrating life around us and life that has passed onto the next realm.

In addition to being an independent artist, Camille also runs a youth art program full time. Crafternoon ATX offers art camps and workshops for ages 5-11 years old. This studio focuses on nature, social and emotional learning, activism, community building and being creative.

As a person who believes that art can bring healing, Camille’s work is made with loving energy, bringing light into the spaces they enter.
